John Cameron

Victorian Football Association
Games: 1
Career: 1885

Very little is known about John, just that he played 1 senior game.
With two other players named Cameron playing for the Blues around this time and with newspapers only mentioning the surname, this has confused matters somewhat.
Now with the publication of Volume 5 of "Origins of Australian Football" author Mark Pennings has John Cameron playing one senior game for Carlton in 1885.

Pennings' Volume 5 has a photo of a 1882 South Melbourne team (p342) with a J. Cameron named. Same person?
However, this publication does not have a J. Cameron named in it's alphabetical listing of senior players. A reserve player or an incorrect first name?
The only Cameron listed is Thomas "Little Ducky" Cameron (South in 1882) who also played for the Blues. (1883-1885)
