Game Review

The Blues were smashed by a rampant Essendon in this mid-season away game. But there was worse to come...

In the aftermath, two Carlton players - George Bolt and Jack Morrissey - came to blows during the after-game entertainment provided by Essendon. Both were later suspended indefinitely by the club, as was one of Carlton's stars in Bert Boromeo, who was carpeted by the club for being publicly critical of club captain Horrie Clover.

At the end of this round Carlton were in 7th spot on the ladder with a percentage of 80.6.
