Game ReviewHeading into the last quarter of this match at Princes Park, the Southerners were 11 points in front, and travelling like winners. But while they continued to hold sway around the ground for most of the last term, their accuracy near the goals deserted them and they posted a wayward 1 goal, seven behinds. Carlton steamed home in the last ten minutes, adding 4.2 to pinch victory by just two points.
It was a morale-lifting win for the Blues, after a disappointing season that saw the team end up seventh on the 12-team ladder.
