Wearing guernsey #5, Tuohill played 15 games for Carlton commencing in Season 1943. He kicked 6 goals for the Blues. Tuohill was recruited from Geelong during the second world war. The Geelong FC had been forced to stop playing at the height of the war due to rationing - hence a lot of Geelong players moved to Melbourne based clubs.

Touhill played 11 games and booted 11 goals for Geelong from 1938 to 1940.

Touhill was originally recruited from Geelong CYMS, but was born in Coburg.
