Description: | 1907 The South Melbourne "Push" v St.Kilda Clubs supporter/cheer squad. A "push" was also a word used for a street gang prior to WW1. Each district had their pushes/gangs from the mid 1870's onwards. Some were so violent a policeman would not pursue them into laneways.
