Much like Blue contemporaries Percy Jackson in 1918 and Charlie Oliver in 1900, Huggett played a single game for Carlton but also managed to kick a goal. His only game was a defeat by Fitzroy at Princes Park by 4 points.

Alf injured his knee and was not selected again.

A. E. Hugget was recruited from Golden Point, and born at Mt. Egerton.
