Carlton had the bye on the Queens Birthday Holiday.
The club had arranged to play Bendigo on the Upper Reserve in Bendigo.
Maynard was named in the starting Carlton 20 as one of the four followers.
Carlton easily won the match 10.19 - 2.2
This is the only mention of Maynard that Blueseum has found so far.
The Bendigo Independent said that Blues had included some junior players in the team.

Could be Jim Maynard a Williamstown local player mentioned in the Williamstown Chronicle June 03 (p4) 1933 in an article on the 1890's
