Ossie Partington played reserve grade football for Carlton from 1953 to 1954.

Partington was listed by the Blues in 1953 but played at bayside club Seaford, he would undertake National Service in 1953 with the navy.

Partington mainly played as a wingman, he was an emergency in Carlton's 1953 Reserves Premiership Team.

An article in the The Argus newspaper dated 25th March 1955 - Young seconds winger Ossie Partington, who was on the senior list in 1953, has just left hospital. He has received medical advice not to play football again. It didn't specify the reason as to what the reason was.

He didn't manage to play a senior game for Carlton.
