Game Review

With a record of 10-2 and playing at home against the middle-of-the-road South, this appeared a case of just turning up for the Blues. And so it seemed as Carlton gradually compiled a commanding 22 point advantage by 3/4 time.

South refused to concede however and closed to 4 points. The Southerners were still attacking when the final bell sounded and the Blues were mighty relieved to get away with the 4 competition points

The Blues led the league by 2 games and percentage over Collingwood and Essendon. A premiership was definitely on the cards.
