Game Review

Despite the absence of captain Jim Flynn and promising recruit Norman Clark, Carlton thrashed Melbourne in this match at the MCG, sending them to the bottom of the ladder and favouritism for the dreaded wooden spoon. On the back of five goals from Mick Grace, and another four from Frank 'Silver' Caine, this victory meant that we retained third spot, and booked a playoff against the first-ranked team; Collingwood, in the First Semi Final. Fourth would play second - Essendon and Fitzroy respectively, in the other Semi.

At the end of this round Carlton were in 3rd spot on the ladder with a percentage of 127.4.
