Game Review

Carlton achieved what we all like to see; a more than comfortable arms-length win against the Tigers. They thought at times they were close, but in the end, they were of course nowhere near. Exactly how we like it!

The Blues welcomed Russell Ohlsen for his debut, the second for the Blues in 1975 after Mike Fitzpatrick in Round 1.

Carlton recorded their eighth win of the season when they held the Tigers down to their lowest score since the 1972 Second Semi Final drawn game, while they booted their highest tally against the Tigers since the great 1972 Grand Final. The Tigers scored only one point better than the previous week and have now lost two matches in a row twice this season - they have not done this since the 1970 season. It was the Blues first win over Richmond in the last four matches and they recorded their fourth century score in a row - six for this season. - Football Record.
