Russell Evans played reserve grade football for Carlton in 1992. Evans was also used as a top-up player for Footscray reserves in 1993.
Evans was originally recruited Coolaroo to play with the Nth Melbourne's U/19's team. When the AFL disbanded this competition he headed to Hadfield. From here he was recruited by the TAC Cup Team the Northern Knights.
In 1993 Russell Evans would head to the VFA and play with Coburg, during his stint with the Lions he would play 43 games and kick 31 goals.
He didn't play a senior game for Carlton.
