Stephen Hurst Miller was the Carlton's 1983 Reserve leading goalscore with 43 goals from his 20 games in that season. The 1984 season found him at West Adelaide where he proved himself a handy forward in 109 SANFL games over six years in which he registered 157 goals with the 'Bloods'.

Stephen's only 'Night' game was in the first Round of 1983 when he started off the bench and scored 2 of Carlton's 9 goals in a 16 point victory against Fitzroy.

Miller was recruited from Geelong College / Kyneton / via Carlton U/19's.
