In late October 2007, Carlton announced that Jason McCartney, an ex-Pie and Kangaroo and former #1 Draft Pick, had accepted a position as Development Coach with the Club. Shortly after, a press release was issued to say that McCartney would no long be coming! Press scuttlebutt in November indicated that McCartney had indeed been a Blue for 48 hours, but had a change of heart and withdrew from the position.
