Trevor Norman Robinson was recruited from Sturt in the SANFL. He was recruited in the 1991 Mid-Season draft at pick number 20. His name also appeared on the Carlton list for the 1992 season.

Robinson was recruited from Epping via Whittlesea in the DVFL (this competition is now known as the Northern Football League).

Robinson also played with Melbourne's U/19's in 1986 and 1987.

He did not manage a senior game for Carlton.
