Game Review

Saturday's Herald said;
"The duty of selecting leaders was quickly performed. W. Stuckey was chosen for Carlton, with Morrison as vice-captain."

Carlton fans would have been hoping for the start of a brand new era, with seven new Blues on show in this first game of a new season. For those with a short term view, this loss to Geelong may have been disheartening - but the building blocks of our triple Premiership teams of 1906-07-08 were already slowly forming.

At the end of this round Carlton were in 7th spot on the ladder with a percentage of 51.4.
