Blueseum Setup

Links in year pages

At the start of the Blueseum, the bottom of each year page had links to each game in -3 font.

As the site has expanded, we now have links to:

Brownlow Votes
B&F Votes
Playing Lists
Statistical leaders

See year 2000 for an example.

I was wondering if someone mor ein tune with design could redesign the link to have set spots at the bottom for each of these links underneath each of the games blocks. Im happy to roll them out but need design help.

Would just be a matter of copying one of the rows in that links table and adjusting it for whatever is needed.

If you look at the last couple ot tr 'rows' there are colspan=2 in there to make up for long names such as Preliminary final that might mess the formatting up.

The collspan command tells the browser how many columns a particular cell should span.

This looks like a six column table so to have it neat you try to have all the columns and colspans within each row add up to six. (although for some reason it looks like the last row only adds up to 5).

So yeah, just copy one of the rows and put in the links you want and play around with it a bit to get it looking neat.

If this explanation is crap, let me know exactly which links you would like included and I can give it a go.

Are you OK with how that looks? Because some of the links are bigger than others (in numbers of letters I guess) I don't think it looks toopretty. I guess I could start with that and then if someone down the track doesn't like it, we can always change it then?

A box like you've put together at the bottom of the Locker Room pages might look nicer?

THATS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT!!!!

That looks great. We could remove the whole !!!Links section of each year and jsut have that good looking box down the bottom, much like the Locker Room pages. That's spot on.

I'll start to roll that out from 2007 and go backwards.

One additional question - where do people think the Pre-Season link should go... before the Rounds line, on top of the Rounds line, or elsewhere?

What you have done for 2000 looks good.
