Frederick 'Smiler' Franks
Ex North Melbourne.
F. Franks was vice captain of Melbourne in 1884. He is pictured in the Melbourne team photo taken in Adelaide in 1884.
1893 Franks a ruckman, debuted for the Blues in the round 16 clash with Fitzroy at Brunswick Street on September 2nd.
He was named in The Argus as one of Carlton's better players in the Blues three goal loss.
1893 Franks developing into a good follower.
