Alexander Ford or Foord

Ex Carlton Imperial.

1876 A. Ford was captain of the Carlton Imperials.

1877 A cool and safe defender of goal, and excellent kick, plays the game in the spirit it should be played free from roughness.

1878 Still plays with the same coolness, and proven himself effective on many occasions.

1878 The signature A. W. Ford of Blackwood Street Hotham (North Melbourne) appears on a petition Carlton sent to the Melbourne City Council calling on the council to provide the club with a football ground.

1887 Alexander Foord an old and repected member of the Carlton Football Club aged 37, passed away on December 14 1887.
