O'Connor played 20 games in Navy Blue commencing in Season 1902. Unfortunately for O'Connor, and the Blues, he did not kick a goal in his time at Carlton. He was born in Richmond, and recruited from Brunswick CYMS.

As per the original edition of the Football Record from round 1, 1912: "Charlie O'Connor, one of the enthusiastic Carltonians of a few years ago, now takes very little interest in the game. He swears by golf, and is never happier than when smiting or following the little white ball that looks like a hen's egg in the distance."

O'Connor passed away on the 4th November, 1936 aged 54.
