The signature of a Thomas Crocket (jnr) of Dryburgh Street West Melbourne has recently been unearthed at the Public Records Office on a 1878 petition of in excess of 3,500 rate-payers to the Melbourne City Council to provide a ground in the southern portion of Prince Park for the use of the Carlton Football Club.
