The Prahran Chronicle, May 12 1900, said of the Prahran Football Club for this season, "H. Crane, the old Carlton player, vice-captain."

He passed away on 12 May, 1921 aged 52.

Over a century later, it was revealed that Henry's grandson was indeed Carlton legend Garry Crane, notwithstanding the clear surname link. Garry himself did not know until this time! More on that is available in the below article.
