McRaile was named in the Carlton squad of 23 to play Fitzroy in the Bulli Charity Match on April 09 at the Brunswick Street Ground.

At this time there was an J. McRaile who played for Fitzroy 1886 - 1890, same player or relation?
Could be James McRaile who was at Tommy Leydin's pub, The Rose of Carlton in Canning Street, when police raided the premises.

A player named McRaile from Fitzroy played for Carlton on October 08 1887 when the Blues were short of players against North Park on the Friendly Societies' Ground.
