1865 July 15
J. McHarg scored one of Carlton's two goals (the other by O'Brien) in the victory over the Warehousemen's club at Royal Park.

1865 July 22
J. McHarg is named in the 25 man squad to play the Warehousemen's club again the following week at St. Kilda Park.

1875 April 23
As was the custom in those years, illuminated addresses were presented to star players Billy Monie, J. McHarg, Sam A. Wallace and J. Blanchard in appreciation of their services during season 1874.
