Promotions Officer

The role of the Promotions Officer (also known as Development Officer) is to go to schools and conduct clinics, attend lecture and presentation nights and assist the VFL in the general promotion of our great game. These officers work for the clubs in the field and their areas of involvement include:-

1. Coach education and recognition
2. Organisation of the "Herald Shield" and VFL secondary schools competition
3. Assistance with the Victorian and Australian U/17 Championships
4. Liaison with primary schools and the "Big M" Little League
5. Liaison with clubs fron the Victorian Country Football League (VCFL) and the Victorian Metropolitan Football League (VMFL)
6. Organisation of football clinics, including "Superclinics", in country and metropolitan areas
7. Distribution of footballs, literature and media resources

1982 - Stephen Gough - Carlton development officer in Bendigo

1984 - Mario Bortolotto (Metro Development Officer - G.Warry & Country Development Officer - N.Strauch)
