Game Review

Both the Carlton and Richmond players wore black arm bands and the flags flew at half mast as a mark of respect to L. E. Downs.
Carlton somehow managed to put aside the tragic loss of Lyle Downs at training on the Thursday prior and smashed eventual premiers Richmond by 51 points to move 2 games clear at the top of the table.

At the end of this round Carlton were in 1st spot on the ladder with a percentage of 135.4.
