Game Review

Carlton's dreadful inaccuracy (we had 37 shots on goal to Geelong's 24) almost cost us this home match against the Cats. In a big last quarter, the Blues kicked 4.8 to 1.1 and got home by just 8 points. Paul Schmidt returned to form with 5 goals.

Meanwhile, at the MCG, Melbourne did us a favour by destroying Essendon. That night, Carlton sat second on the ladder behind Richmond.

At the end of this round Carlton were in 2nd spot on the ladder with a percentage of 114.6.
