Game Review

Carlton played all over Essendon, particularly in the first half of this game at Windy Hill - but our kicking for goal was atrociously inaccurate. Despite having four more scoring shots than the Bombers, the wayward Blues lost by six points.
The only good news to come out of this round was that Richmond were hammered into submission by Melbourne at the MCG, and dropped to tenth on the ladder. Although beaten, Carlton moved up to ninth place, and seemed to have comfortably avoided the wooden spoon.
