Game Review

The largest football crowd so far for the year. (The Referee said the crowd was 25,000).

Carlton took on the ladder leading South Melbourne but couldn't come away with the win.

By winning, South increased their lead over second placed Collingwood to 12 points / 3 matches. Carlton sat in third place with the Saints still breathing down their neck. Again Charlie Hammond came out of retirement to help out the Blues for the last time.

At the end of this round Carlton were in 3rd spot on the ladder with a percentage of 122.7.
