Game ReviewCarlton dominated most of this match against Essendon at Windy Hill, yet were lucky to get home by four points. Dreadful inaccuracy around the goals (we had 24 scoring shots to 15) plagued the Blues, and only the efforts of our water-tight defence in the last quarter secured the win.
This victory, and Richmond's loss to Collingwood, gave Carlton an 8-point buffer over Richmond in the battle for second on the ladder behind Collingwood.
At the end of this round Carlton were in 2nd spot on the ladder with a percentage of 144.1.
