Game Review

An as expected comfortable victory against lesser quality on a beautiful Autumn Day.

The Blues showed Melbourne a clean pair of heels for most of the day when they outclassed them at the MCG to kick their highest ever tally against them and also created the highest ever aggregate between the two sides. The previous best by a Blues team against Melbourne was 22.15.147 created in 1970. It was also Carlton's best score at the MCG since their record creating 1972 Grand Final win over Richmond. - Football Record.

Carlton maintained their unbeaten record for the season when they won on the weekend. Peter Jones and Mark Maclure were in great form for the Blues. - Football Record.
