Monday's Argus had goal kickers, Roland 2, Noonan, Sullivan and Gomez 1 each.

After the humiliation of the previous week, this was a far more spirited effort by the boys from Princes Park. They stuck with Fitzroy throughout this match, before falling short by 7 points.

Remarkably, Carlton had played eight rounds of football in 36 days. Could you imagine todays footballers doing that?
