1882 May 24 Wednesday Queen's Birthday
Woodburn was named in the 23 man Carlton Reserves squad that played Colac at Colac.

1883 May 05
Woodburn was named in the Carlton Second Twenty squad of 22 in a match against Clyde in Royal Park.

1883 May 26
Woodburn was named in the Carlton Second Twenty/Reserves squad of 20 that played a Fitzroy team on Princes Oval.

1883 July 28
Woodburn scored a goal in the Second Twenty match against Melbourne at the M.C.G.

1883
Woodburn played the last five games of the season in the First Twenty after the resignation of the nine players as a result of the Maryborough affair.
He scored a couple of goals for the Blues, and he was named among the best players in one game.

1884 Was presented with a medal for his play for the Second Twenty at the Carlton general meeting 4th. April.

1885 May 25
Woodburn was named in the Carlton Second Twenty team squad of 23 that played Daylesford at Daylesford on the Queen's Birthday Holiday.

1887 W. Woodburn was presented with a gold locket for "excellent play" with Second Twenty, at the Carlton general meeting held Friday 1st. April.
