Game Review

After draws in both rounds to date, the highly improbable almost came to pass when this match resulted in a 2 point win to the Maroons.

No wins from 3 outings was an unsatisfactory opening to 1911.

At the end of this round Carlton were in 6th spot on the ladder with a percentage of 98.7.

Football Accident

"The fall which Bowen, the Carlton footballer, received in the third quarter of the Fitzroy and Carlton match on Saturday proved more serious than was first thought. On Saturday Bowen had taken to his bed, and two doctors were summoned. It was found that he was suffering from a lacerated kidney. Bowen has been unable to sleep for two nights, and has lost a considerable quantity of blood."
