Gomez

Frank Patrick Gomez

Much like Bill Dodds and Jimmy Robinson, Frank Gomez played a single game of VFL footy for Carlton in Season 1901. Goes to show that the game has always been ruthless! His only game was a defeat by Fitzroy at Princes Park.

He was recruited from Warnambool.

Frank Gomez died 17 March 1954 at Port Melbourne.

Son Frank Gomez Jnr played for Essendon in the late 1920s.

There was a Frank Gomez who was coach of Port Melbourne thirds in 1953 He was a former Essendon and Port Melbourne player. A relation?
