Game Review
Carlton made light work of the Fuschias and firmed up their spot in the top 4.In only his 12th league game Horrie Clover scored 8 goals from centre half forward.
At the end of this round Carlton were in 4th spot on the ladder with a percentage of 118.2.
Footnote
It is possible that all of Clover's 8 goals in this match were the result of place kicks. In 1933 a letter to the Argus mentions that Horrie scored 8 goals all from place kicks. He also achieved this figure in Round 10, 1930, however that match report mentions him kicking a goal on the run. However, Round 12, 1921 and Horrie scored 13 goals, of which 8 goals may have been place kicked.
