Game Review
With the Blues' big men dominating Laurie Kerr starred in the centre. Footscray tried three players on him including Mr. Football Ted Whitten who went onto him during the second quarter. He broke even with Kerr, but after half time he was forced to go on the ball to try and lift his team. In the meantime Laurie continued to amass possessions in the middle. George Ferry and Bruce Comben played well in defence. Brian Buckley took some good marks on the forward line but wasted his opportunities.
