Carlton’s champion key forward Mick Grace continued his barnstorming run to the finals with six goals in this big victory over Geelong at Corio Oval. In bright sunshine on a perfect spring day, Grace used his renowned aerial skills to maximum effect - terrorising the Pivotonian defence, and out-scoring the entire Geelong team.Eleven goals in two matches saw Grace rocket to 43 majors for the season, 10 ahead of team-mate Frank Caine.
At the end of this round Carlton were in 1st spot on the ladder with a percentage of 149.9.
