Revisit Rounds 01 After a tight first quarter, Carlton's defence strangled Melbourne's inept attack to run out winners by a whopping 89 points.

Lively rover Percy Daykin was a star with four goals, and this big win lifted the Blues two places to third on the ladder, with a huge percentage of 211.93. Following this round the top four sides were South Melbourne, St Kilda, Carlton and Collingwood.

At the end of this round Carlton were in 3rd spot on the ladder with a percentage of 211.9.
