1864 Fixture

Blueseum is yet to find any Carlton matches or results from 1864. We have been unable find any mention of Carlton in the major newspapers on Trove, but various sources later in the 1800's and early 1900's mention the Carlton Football Club in existence in 1864 and some articles even mention as far back as 1859! However, "The Carlton Story" (p7) by Hugh Buggy and Harry Bell published in 1958 said of 1864;

"Carlton in its first year played 10 games, and won only one of them."
