Yarraville are the 1908 V.J.F.A. premiers.
This was the last year Carlton Juniors would call Carlton's ground in Princes Park "Home".
Next year Carlton District would play home games there until the formation of the VFL Reserves in 1919.
Carlton Juniors, who were the oldest of the Junior clubs, would soon fold.
Blueseum is unsure of the relationship between the VFL club Carlton and Carlton Juniors and Carlton District.
Many Carlton names seem to have played with District, maybe more so than the Juniors. However, Carlton allowed the Juniors to play on their ground.
The Club has been contacted, but little or no new information than what we already know is available.
Club historian Tony De Bolfo said that the Carlton Football Club's hand written minute books from that era, are in the process of being digitalized.
So perhaps some light will be thrown on this subject.
Both the Juniors and District operated as stand alone clubs with their own presidents and committees etc.
This year (1908) Carlton Juniors played in the Victorian Junior Football Association and Carlton District in the Melbourne District Association.
Because of this uncertainy we will endeavour to add Carlton District's complete 1908 season details if available.
Researching the Districts we have found that Carlton District did indeed play some home games at Princes Park. So there is a connection. Bert 'Tracker' Numa whose name appears in the District team was the Carlton Football Club treasurer 1919- 1924. Bert also had a long time involvement with the Carlton Cricket and Baseball clubs.

Possibly May 02 and August 01 will be found.
District played on the Carlton ground twice and once in the Semi Final.
