“The latest addition to the Association is the Carlton District Club, which has, during the past six seasons, been competing in the Metropolitan Churches and the Melbourne District's Football Association. During its existence the club has been remarkably successful, being premiers twice, runners-up twice, and third once a splendid record, especially when it is taken into consideration that during the past three seasons the club has had considerable difficulty on obtaining grounds on which to play its “home” matches.
In their ranks at the present time are said to be at least half-a-dozen juniors who are likely to be heard of in senior football before long.
This season the club is having the assistance of the Carlton League Club, and will play its home games on the Carlton Ground.” (Herald p3)
