“Although the Metropolitan Amateur Football Association has practically decided not to take to the field until after the war, Mr. George S. Stewart, the hon. secretary, has received a number of applications from clubs desirous of joining the association as soon as the game is in full swing again.
Clubs already in the association are advised by officials to keep in touch with their members, so as to be in a position to appoint representatives to deal with important matters immediately the game is resumed.
Once again the VJFA and the Suburban Juniors are holding a full progamme of matches this season.

Carlton District players and members will be glad to learn that Lieutenant W. Witton the team's captain in the pre-war days, is expected to return from active service shortly.”
