Game Review
A dull, wet weather game. Only the closeness of the scores provided any real interest, apart from the spectacular marking of Warburton. Both backlines were on top and Howell at full forward was blanketed by his opponent. A desperate final quarter saw the Blues trying hard to save the game, while the Demons whittled away the Navy Blues' lead. With seconds to go Carlton had the ball on their forward line but were unable to break the deadlock. The match ended in a draw.
