Game Review
Collingwood jumped from 11th to seventh place on the League ladder after keeping the Blues to their lowest total since Melbourne defeated them at VFL Park last year. Carlton lost Geoff Southby before the game with the flu and struggled for the whole day to keep with Collingwood who have now won five matches this season. It was the Blues lowest against Collingwood since their 2.12 at Victoria Park in 1970 - and no Blue (or Collingwood) supporter will forget what happened in the Grand Final that year! - Football Record
The Magpies jumped from 11th to seventh place on the ladder when they defeated Carlton by 26 points. Phil Carmen kicked five goals for Collingwood and Trevor Keogh scored four for the Blues.
- Football Record.
