Game Review

Continuing their late-season emergence, the ever more confident Carlton took another big scalp with this victory over Fitzroy at home. A three-goal second quarter set up the win in another battle of defences, during which Tom Fox’s two opportunist goals were invaluable for the Navy Blues.

After standing undefeated in the first seven rounds, Fitzroy were in the midst of a late season slump, having lost five of their next six games.

At the end of this round Carlton remained 6th on the ladder, with a percentage of 79.7.
