Game Review

In the Outer the attendance was sparse, and little interest was taken in the game.
Carlton pounded the Saints by 56 points to continue their ominous end-of-season form, whicn included the handing out of 2 thrashings and the defeat of the top of the table Magpies in Round 16.

We would not, unfortunately, displace the Pies in top spot, meaning that the Pies as top placed getters would have a second chance in the finals campaign - one that they would use after losing to Fitzroy at the Semi-Final stage.

At the end of this round Carlton were in 2nd spot on the ladder with a percentage of 143.9.
