Game Review
Two evenly-matched teams met in this entertaining match at Princes Park - a hard-fought contest that eventually went to the steadier Cats by one straight kick. One of the highlights was another John Nicholls-Polly Farmer ruck battle that ended up all square. Nicholls won the early exchanges, so Farmer went to a forward pocket and kicked five goals. In his second game, Ron Barassi kicked his first goal for his new club.
With one win and one loss, the Blues fell to fifth on the ladder, albeit with a healthy percentage of 126.05.
