"Rumors circulatating in football circles that Jim Francis intended to resign as coach of Carlton because of the team's lack of success this season, were denied last night by club president Mr. Lew Holmes.At the rooms last night Mr. Holmes said, "On behalf of the club I want to deny these mischievous rumors.
