Game Review

History was 'in-line' as the Blues welcomed a debutant in Garry Higgins with a win against the Saints.

Just have a look at the Saint's scoring shots - 27 behinds - they were born to lose!

Carlton kept their winning record against St Kilda intact - it's now nine in a row, but a little more accuracy could have given the Saints a win. They piled 8.27 - the most behinds EVER kicked by any St Kilda side, but the Blues were little better with their 22 - their highest tally since 1935 against the Saints. The Saints will have a struggle now if they are to make the Finals - this was their fourth score of more than 20 behinds for the season but they still have a chance. - Football Record.
